Day 1:Cusco to Salkantaypampa – Embark on Your Andean Adventure

You’ll only need to carry a small daypack with essentials for the day’s hike.

Trek Availability:

The Salkantay Trek & Short Inca Trail to Machu Picchu is available year-round, departing on any date that suits your schedule. We require a minimum of 2 hikers per group and valid Inca Trail permits for the 2-day portion of the trek.

What Your Trek Price Includes:

  • Pack Horse: An extra horse to carry up to 7 kg (15 lbs) of your personal belongings (excluding sleeping bag, which is approximately 2 kg/4.4 lbs). A duffel bag will be provided for your convenience. Please note that pack horses are not available on the 2-day Inca Trail portion of the trek.
